A new luxury resort is coming to Marbella’s beachfront

A €500 million residential and hotel complex is being developed in Marbella, marking a major milestone for the local luxury market. Located in the exclusive Las Dunas Club area, the project will combine branded residences with five-star hotel amenities in a beachfront setting—something Marbella has not seen at this scale before.

The development will include 180 luxury residences and 150 hotel rooms, all operated under a high-end international brand (yet to be announced). The site spans more than 160,000 square metres and is one of the last significant plots of land available directly on the coast.

Among the planned facilities are a full-service beach club, a wellness-focused spa, sports centre, private cinema, and a selection of high-end restaurants and lounges. The combination of residential and hospitality elements is designed to offer owners and guests a seamless lifestyle experience, blending private ownership with full resort services.

This is a joint initiative by Sierra Blanca – known for their branded residences in partnership with Fendi and Dolce & Gabbana—and Platinum Estates. It represents Sierra Blanca’s first full entry into the hotel sector and reflects a broader shift in Marbella toward more integrated, resort-style developments.

Construction is expected to begin in 2026, with delivery scheduled for 2028. Once completed, the project will add a new dimension to Marbella’s prime property offer and is expected to attract interest from international investors, particularly from North America, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe.

With global demand for resort-branded residences increasing, this development positions Marbella to compete directly with destinations like Miami, Dubai, and the French Riviera. It’s a clear sign of confidence in the long-term value of Costa del Sol real estate and the continued evolution of Marbella as a luxury destination.
